About Us
A Safe Place to Grow,
In the Right Places
At Standshill Supported Living, we know that where support happens is just as important as how it’s delivered. That’s why we carefully select every home to be more than just accommodation, each one is a launchpad for independence, recovery, and growth.
We place people in safe, welcoming environments that are:
- Well-connected: Close to public transport, shops, and essential services.
- Enriching: Near green spaces, learning hubs, and community activities.
- Inclusive: In areas where diversity is celebrated and opportunities are within reach.
Our homes provide more than physical safety: they offer emotional security, stability, and a sense of belonging. Each property is well-maintained, homely, and embedded in a vibrant community.
This creates the foundations for people to rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and hope.
For commissioners, this means placements that stick, stable environments, strong community links, and better long-term outcomes for the people you support.

Our Mission
To support young people and adults with complex needs – including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, dual diagnosis, and acquired brain injuries — to live safely, independently, and meaningfully within their communities.
We do this by embedding trauma-informed, therapeutic care into everything we do — using relational approaches, building trust over time, and co-producing each care journey with the person and those important to them.
Inclusion Isn’t a Policy,
It’s Our Practice
At Standshill Supported Living, diversity isn’t just accepte, it’s celebrated. We provide safe, welcoming spaces for people from all backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. Whether someone is neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, from a minority ethnic group, or navigating faith and identity, we ensure the whole person is seen, heard, and valued.
We know there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all care. Our support is tailored to reflect each individual’s values, culture, beliefs, and aspirations, delivered with warmth, understanding, and integrity.
This approach builds trust, strengthens engagement, and creates environments where people feel truly at home. For commissioners, it means services that meet diverse needs effectively and respectfully, leading to better outcomes and lasting placements.

Our Vision
To create a network of supported living services where:
- People don’t just survive, they thrive
- Progress is defined by the individual, not the service
- Healing is supported through stability, not restriction
- Lived experience is valued as a core part of professional practice
- Work, learning, community and contribution are realistic, supported goals
Our Model of Care:
From Surviving to Thriving
At Standshill Supported Living, therapeutic thinking is woven into every interaction — not just in formal sessions, but in the everyday moments that shape trust and progress. How we listen, how we respond, and how we show up for people is at the heart of our work.
We use proven tools and approaches, including:
- PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
- Recovery Star (Mapping progress and goals)
- PBS-informed risk planning (Promoting safety without limiting independence)
- TLPA (The Life Programme Approach) for building daily structure and routines
- Local partnerships with colleges, job centres, and volunteering groups to promote education and employment opportunities
- Our approach is relational, outcome-focused and future-driven.
- We work with housing providers, clinicians, social workers, and family members to deliver support that evolves with each person’s journey.

Our Values
These values guide how we lead, support, and grow:
- Dignity always – every person is treated with respect, no exceptions
- Progress, not perfection – we celebrate small wins and long-term change
- Do with, not for – we work alongside people, not above them
- Inclusion is daily practice – we don’t box people in; we open doors
- Connection matters – care starts with relationships
- Lived experience leads – because nothing replaces understanding from within
- Community is key – healing happens when people feel they belong
